Barnard Castle School

We partnered with Barnard Castle School to bring professional padel expertise and quality programming to an ambitious new facility within a historic setting. Set within the school's immaculate 50-acre grounds, the padel court occupies a prominent location at the front of the school campus—a striking position that helps raise the profile of padel and creates a visible hub for the sport in the region.

This installation holds a unique place in UK sports history: it is the first padel court ever to be installed in front of a listed building in the United Kingdom. The entire facility was navigated through planning, built, and opened within just 4 months—a remarkable achievement given the heritage constraints involved.

Meet the Founder

I'm Joe, founder of Padel Schools UK. With over 10 years of experience working in independent schools, I've developed a deep understanding of what today's school leaders are looking for: authentic ways to grow their school commercially, make better use of available space, and strengthen their connection to local communities.
Schools have untapped potential. They have land, facilities, and a trusted position within their community—but they often lack the expertise and infrastructure to monetise these assets effectively without diluting their core mission.
I founded Padel Schools to bridge this gap. By partnering with independent schools, we create a win-win: schools generate significant revenue and strengthen community ties through a sport they can be genuinely proud of, while players gain access to professional-quality facilities in welcoming, safe environments.
